2020-21 Dance Season Guidelines

In order for Dance Dimensions to function safely during these times, we ask that all of our dancers, family members and staff adhere to the following guidelines.  This is very important to ensure the health and safety of our staff and dancers.  Please go over these new rules with your child and remind them how important it is that they follow these rules.

There are signs posted throughout our studio to remind everyone what to do to be safe.  We have taped out our dance rooms with 6’x6’ squares, our ballet barres are marked and placed appropriately, the observation areas do not have any chairs and only limit 3-4 people in them.  The kitchen, boutique and dressing rooms will be closed.  If your child needs a drink or snack, they must ask the receptionist to get it for them.

All common areas will be disinfected throughout the day such as (all door handles, ballet barres, bathroom sinks, toilets, chairs, countertop and frequently touched surfaces)

Everyone who comes into the building will have a temperature check (including staff) with a no touch thermometer.  If anyone has a fever of 100.4 or higher they will not be allowed into the building.  They will also get hand sanitizer upon entering.

Everyone is required to wear a mask in the building. (Do not use a mask on people with difficulty breathing or anyone who cannot put on or remove the mask themselves).  If a child needs a break, they are to let the teacher know so they can guide them where to go.  All staff members are required to wear a mask at all times.  If you forget your mask, we will have them to purchase for $5.00.

Please remember that your mask MUST be cleaned after each use.  If you are using a disposable mask, it must be disposed of after use.  Do not reuse the same disposable mask.

Please remember, if your child is not feeling well, keep them home.  If you are not feeling well, do not come into the building.  Remind your child not to touch their eyes, nose or mouth with their fingers.  Everyone must cover your mouth and nose when they cough or sneeze, and throw away any used tissues immediately after use.  (garbage cans are in each dance room). Also, sanitize hands right away.  And please do not use anyone else’s belongings such as phones, hair ties, shoes etc.

We ask that all parents with children 7 & older drop your child off in the parking lot and wait in your vehicle for them.  Anyone with a child 6 & under that needs assistance may have 1 adult enter the building with them.  If you are a new student, you may have 1 parent come in with you to see the space and finalize registration details if needed.

The schedule has been adjusted to try and eliminate the kids having breaks and hanging out in the studio.  We tried to make sure every student does not have more than a half hour break in their schedule.  If they have more than a half hour break we ask that you please pick them up and bring them back.  If they have a half hour break or less, the back room will be open for up to 4 people at a time ONLY!!!!!    And they must wear a mask.

Every student can bring in 1 SMALL dance bag that fits in a cubby.  They will not be allowed to place belongings on the floor , in the dance room or in the back room.  Please make sure they bring in only what they need for that day.  Cubbies will be sanitized after each use.

If your child takes ballet, they will need a ballet barre cover.  You can use a paper towel roll and cut it the long way.  You can then decorate it with your own tape to make it personalized.  Be sure to write your name on it.  Your child will need to bring this with them to every ballet class.  If they forget, we will have some available to purchase at the studio for $2.00.

We encourage our customers to use the portal to make payments or leave checks in the mailbox outside.  If you need to pay with cash, please give it to your child to hand in and get a receipt.

Only a certain number of dancers will be allowed in each dance room.  This will be determined by the square footage for the room and how many kids can fit with 6’ distance.  (unless guidelines change)

Make sure your child has the proper footwear.  Try avoid going barefoot or in socks as much as possible.

One student at a time will be allowed to use the restroom (with teacher’s permission)  And No one will be allowed to hang out in the hallway or any other areas.

Again, please make sure to go through all of this with your child and make sure they understand how important it is that they follow these rules.  Also, be sure to log into your portal to see an updated schedule of classes and times.  And if you do not plan to participate, please let us know ASAP!!!!!!

If you have any questions, please ask.   Thank you and stay safe & healthy!
